Hello there, recently I started to write my essay on various topics but still not quite sure whether the structure is good. I'd appreaciate of someone would provide me wit the feedback on the short essay below. Thank you
There must be a gazillion children out there, and it would be hard to believe that they would all respond to the same approach. This is really not a complex problem. Reading can be self reinforcing. It is a matter of having a reason to read. Not all children start out the same way, or have the same resources available. Those are limiters, but not killers. There are many things that we all know are good. Reading to your child is a great thing. Not everyone can do it or does it. It is not a complex problem because all we need to do is to help the child find a reason to read. Once that is accomplished, it becomes self reinforcing. Let's not start with the Little Engine that Could or Jane Eyre and tell the children its good. Let children decide for themselves what they want to read and then measure the results. So, if one child wants to read about cars, so what? And another about anatomy. So what? What is important is that they develop proficiency, Duh! Make it an adventure, not a sentence, to coin a phrase. Frankly, there is so much uninteresting junk required for reading in America, it is no wonder we produce the number of dunces that we do. We do not read to become educated. That is a false idea. We read to acquire, whatever it is that we want to acquire. Some people like all the little bits of meat that hangs on every single emotion, but others don't. Flexibility fits all but listening to the child wins the cake.
