The following chart shows the percentage of people employed in different sectors in Germany in 2002 and 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. The bar chart shows ten different sectors, with the percentage of the employed in Germany in each field for the years 2002 and 2012. The largest sector in both years was wholesale and retail, with 22% of the workforce employed in this field in 2002 and 26% in 2012. Real estate and government jobs were the next largest categories for both years at 18% and 19% in 2002 and 21% and 19% for 2012. Transport, storage and communications and construction were similar, employing 23% between them in both years. The smallest percentage of workers was employed in the electricity and gas sector, which remained unchanged at 2% for both years. The other categories of financial, hotels, mining and agriculture accounted for the balance of employees, with both the financial and agricultural sectors showing a 50% drop in 2012 compared to 2002.
