The dangers and complexities of modern world have made mobile phone an absolute necessity for children.
To what extent to you agree or disagree?
One of the benefits of mobile phone is allowing parents to track their children and keep in touch with them regardless of the distance. This enables the parents to know immediately where their children are and what they are doing to an extent. The question is, are mobile phones a necessity in our modern world? In my opinion, the safety of the children outweighs any drawbacks imposed by giving them mobile phones.
Mobile phones help the parents track their children. Nowadays, knowing the precise location of a person is extremely easy thanks to smartphones. A parent is only a few click away from knowing where his child is. This is very important should the child get lost under any circumstances, as the parent will only need to track his location with the help of smartphones. Similarly, the child can use his phone as a map in case he can’t find the way. Tracking the location of the child can also protect him from crimes.
Keeping in immediate contact with the parent and the rest of the world has its own benefits too. The children can easily contact their guardians if they found a need to. This is especially important in emergency situations, in which the children can use their phones to contact emergency services as soon as possible, before the matter gets serious. Direct contact also enables the parents to check on their children anytime should they ever feel worried.
To conclude, mobile phones are indeed absolute necessity for the children. The ability to track their locations and actions is very helpful in protecting the child from dangers. Similarly, the ability to make calls allows children get in direct contact with their parents and others, which is extremely important in averting serious issues.
Thank you.
